The Story

Laura Brice is one of the most loving and caring people you'll ever meet. She has always gone above and beyond to help out anyone in need, including family members, friends, and even strangers. In 2008, Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer. Faced with a very difficult decision, she decided to undergo surgery to remove her right breast and many lymph nodes. Due to all of her lymph nodes being removed, she has been fighting lymphedema for the past 5 years, and recently underwent a CAT scan which showed small tiny tumors where her lymph nodes used to be. After watching her mom, her cousin, and many other family and friends die from chemotherapy, she decided to pursue other treatment options. That's when she found Dr. Keith Nemec at Total Health Institute. His approach is the all-natural way and includes a very strict all vegetarian diet along with many different natural therapies. Due to the high success rate and insurance not covering the cost, my parents have to pay for the treatment out of pocket. It is very expensive and they have taken out large loans to pay for the treatments, but they are not sure how they will be able to pay the loans off. Please help my mom pay for her treatments.

Good news everyone! My mom just found out her PET scan results yesterday and out of the four previous tumors seen on the previous PET scan, two of the tumors are completely gone, one is the same size, and one got bigger. The good news is that it hasn't spread anywhere else. The doctor thinks that the one tumor that got bigger is the more aggressive tumor and that this is likely the cause of all my mom's pain and worsened lymphedema. My mom is now considering radiation therapy in order to shrink the growing tumor, but she fears her lymphedema will get worse which is usually a side effect of radiation. Surgery isn't really an option since the tumors are in her armpit, where it is hard to get to the tumors. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and prayer! It's working!

My mom is doing about the same, she has good days and bad days. It does seem to help when she is able to exercise a bit, especially when she gets to move around her arm a little. Usually this helps the lymph fluid move out of her arm and hand. It's the days when she overdoes it, like when she decides to do all the laundry or clean the house a bit, that's when her arm gets worse, especially at night. Otherwise, she has been following her diet pretty well and taking all of her vitamins and supplements. Thank you to everyone for keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers, they are working! :)

Good news! My mom had her bloodwork checked at the two-month mark and her values are all improved! Her white blood cell count was low in May and is now in the normal range! Her cholesterol was high in May and is now in the normal range! She is still in a lot of pain, but according to her doctor her tumors are shrinking according to her bloodwork. She is likely in pain since her body is healing and I am sure everything is inflammed due to all the healing. There's still a lot of time ahead of her, but this is just so wonderful I had to share. Her diet is going pretty well, she is getting used to it and she continues to lose weight since all she eats is salads. My mom is looking great, other than her big arm, but we have faith that will start to go down soon and she will start to feel better. Thank you everyone for keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers.
