The Story

In October of 2011, Britton was diagnosed with stage 3b breast cancer, and after 8 rounds of chemo, a mastectomy and reconstruction, she made it through - Praise God!
On June 5, 2014 Britton was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer as it had metasticed to the pleural fluid and lining of the chest wall of her left lung and also to her sternum.
Britton has started taking a hormone therapy drug as prescribed by her oncologist, and would also like to supplement her treatment by seeing an endobiogenist who will be able to offer some naturopathic strategies. She is also starting hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
This youcaring page has been set up to allow us to support Britton and her family as they prepare themselves to fight breast cancer for a second time.  All of the naturopathic treatments are not covered by insurance, and as you can imagine, the medical costs can get very steep very fast. It would also be such a blessing if we could exceed this goal and be able to bless this family with additional funds to help with housekeeping costs and childcare costs, so let's be generous! Any amount will help and would be soooo appreciated by the Neese family. Whether or not you are not able to support them financially, please continue to keep them in prayer!!

Thank you for your generosity and support!

New update from Britton:

So thankful for the past (almost) 2 1/2 years...Here I am still, living with metastatic breast cancer.

The September scan showed 2 enlarged lymph nodes near my heart (one newly lit up, one larger).

I am Staying on my targeted therapy pill, but switched the paired med...which was another daily pill. Now I'm receiving monthly "twin" shots (that basically feel like molasses ;)). These shots have not produced any results yet, but my dr tells me to be patient, as this new medicine requires a "build up" time. I never like the waiting, who does right!? I'm wanting to stay on top of the disease so it doesn't get away from me. But, the Lord knows all this and I trust Him with my life....which I'm really learning is easier said than done ;). Truly though, I'm so thankful for the stability and good, quality time He has given me!
The joy of the Lord is my strength Psalms 118:14

The next scan will be December.

Thank you so much for your continued love and support. It's a long haul and I'm spurred on by your faithful prayers. My mom begins treatment in November, after having ovarian cancer removed last month, so prayers for her are much appreciated also!

Britton will finish up 15 treatments of Radiation on 2 spots that showed activity, in January. Hopefully this treatment will stop the growth in these areas. She is continuing with weekly Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and holistic therapies & supplements to support her immune system. She is so very thankful for the continued support of prayers and finances on this cancer journey. She is scheduled for another set of scans to see her progress at the end of February. Specific prayers appreciated for marked progress to show up on scan from radiation and for wisdom and guidance regarding the possibility of switching from her oral chemo to a targeted therapy, as the chemo seems to be losing its effectiveness.
Thanks everyone!!

Britton has been taking an oral chemo, which seems to be working! Her numbers for her tumor markers keep droppng, which is a huge answer to prayer! The side effects of the oral chemo are much less severe than the IV chemo treatments she had received the first time she was diagnosed, so she is thankful for that too. Another praise report is that her lungs have been staying clear of fluid as well. She is continuing her oxygen therapy treatments and has been feeling pretty good, with bouts of fatigue here and there. She is an amazing warrior and her spirits are high. I'm sure she would want me to make sure I convey her deep apppreciation and grattitude for your support, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
