In June, 28 year-old Anne was diagnosed with Stage 1 Adenocarcinoma, which is a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer. Thankfully, the cancer is contained to her cervix and uterus and hasn't spread to any other organs. The standard procedure is a simple hysterectomy, but because her last biopsy had positive margins, they can’t be certain they got all of the tumors. She will be treated with a modified radical hysterectomy. Her cervix, uterus, one ovary and some of the tissue surrounding her reproductive organs will be removed. Her surgery is set for the morning of August 7, 2014.
Anne started sewing at a very young age and considers sewing therapeutic. She is a very talented quilter and not only loves to make things for friends and family, but in her spare time makes and donates quilts to charity. She loves nothing more than to share her enthusiasm and knowledge with other aspiring sewists. Anne is a truly giving and kind-hearted friend, sister, aunt, and daughter. Her most favorite people in the world are her niece and her nephew.
Thankfully, Anne has a full team of supportive people surrounding her, but I would like to invite you to please help Anne cover the cost of her medical care--any amount will help!
