Virsaviya "Bathsheba" Borun instagram name is @dariborun (you can contact her mother there or check pictures and video or show support through comments and follow this page) is a 6 and a half year old girl who have a rare condition called Pantalogy of Cantrell. This condition caused her heart and intestines to be outside of her chest at birth. Also, Virsaviya is missing part of her chest bones, part of abdominal muscles, and doesn't have a diaphragm.
Virsaviya is from Russia where doctors are not experienced treating this condition. But now she lives with her Mom in the USA. After being turned down for treatment from many doctors in many different cities and countries, a physician at Boston's Children's Hospital agreed to treat her. That's why Dari, Virsaviya's mother, who is single and cares for her alone, made the decision to come to the United States. But she does not have the financial capability to pay for the expensive treatment and operations needed. The surgery is supposed to help Virsaviya live a long life. The total amount in medical expenses can not be estimated exactly. Unfortunately, after expensive and difficult medical tests, Boston Children's Hospital made the decision to not do the surgery because of the high blood pressure in her pulmonary artery.
The doctors told her mother to let Virsaviya live her life how she was born, and keep her in warm place, because she also has two kidney conditions -pyelonephritis and pyelocystitis - as well as reflex and bladder dysfunction and she can get sick very quickly in cold weather. When Virsaviya gets sick, she starts choking and has very bad pain in her bladder and kidneys. This has already happened several times, and Virsaviya and her mother do have not insurance to pay for the treatment when it happens.
There is hope that Virsaviya can get her surgery if she continues take her medicines and her blood pressure improves, but both the surgery and her on-going treatments are well beyond the means of her family. If you can contribute to this fund, ANY AMOUNT WILL HELP and is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Thank to everyone who praying for Virsaviya and her family, and thank you to everybody who is donating and cares and supports #VirsaviyaWarrior !!! May God bless you all !!!
