In late August 2014, Astrid underwent brain surgery to remove 99% of a benign but invasive brain tumor to save her life and alleviate debilitating symptoms. True to character, she's since kicked the pain meds, the walker, and been working hard to relearn to walk without a cane, regain full hearing, and fully lose the partial facial paralysis she has suffered as a result. With the positive and inspirational attitude she has maintained throughout, she no doubt will. She is grateful for her loving husband, children, and extended family who have done all they could to help through this exceptionally challenging time. So many have asked how to help. After lots of trial and error we struck on this. Any amount you are able to contribute will help Astrid to help support herself and her family through the next chapters of her recovery and return to full health. Thank you!
