Dear Potential Angel,
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Unfortunately I have a dear member of my family, Amanda, who is suffering from stage 4 lymphoma. This is Amanda’s second battle with cancer over the past decade, so she is no stranger to struggle and knows first-hand about the hard road she faces ahead. For this round of care, Amanda will need frequent trips to Stanford for stem cell treatments, which will be costly to her already strapped budget. Fortunately Amanda is responding well to treatment.
Amanda is the sort of person that is always there to help those in need; however, she would never ask for help herself. That’s why I want to briefly tell you her story, so you can see how special she is and why I’m working along with other family and friends to see she gets the help she needs and deserves while she goes through this major struggle.
What makes Amanda one of the most unique and special people I know is the depth of love she exudes, the selfless care she has given to others, and the sacrifices she has made to those in need. The prime example I can give is from the love, care and sacrifice I have personally seen her display with her six kids, five of whom are adopted former foster children. Through Amanda’s love, care and support, I have seen the lives of these children positively transformed…they are definitely going to be better people because of her.
What we are looking for are Angels for Amanda and hope you can be one!
