Posted on May 6, 2014Sadly Luna didn't make it. She went in for surgery yesterday, the blockage was located and fixed, but she was too weak to recover from surgery. She made it through the night but this morning she started struggling to breathe and there was nothing the vet could do to save her.
Thank you all so much for helping us get Luna the care she needed. I wish we had better news. We are so thankful to all the veterinarians at all three hospitals she visited for all their support and expertise. We know that they all gave Luna their best.

Posted on May 5, 2014Thank you all so much for your support. Unfortunately baby Luna is not out of the woods. What initially was thought to be a life threatening infection has turned out to be a potentially deadly intestinal blockage. Luna was taken off the IV last night in hopes that she would continue to recover on her own. Initially it looked promising, little Luna ate her first meal in days last night around 10 pm......things went drastically down hill from there and by 3:00 amshe was being rushed to the emergency vet who again hydrated her and performed an ultrasound which indicated the intestinal blockage. There are still some unknowns but what is known is that little Luna is very sick and needs your help. Luna is undergoing a test over the next several hours that will hope to pinpoint the location of the blockage. If this test is successful she will have life saving surgery asap......if the test is unsuccessful she will undergo an even more involved surgery to figure out and hopefully repair the problem. Her vet bill is now over $1000 and we really need your support to be able to move forward with the surgery that she will need tomorrow. Thank you all so much for helping little Luna return to the happy playful little kitty she was.
