Posted on May 5, 2014Ruby went to the vet on 5-1-14 to be spayed. She got another bath, since she is not able to bathe herself very well with only half a tongue. She is now clean and soft. Unfortunately during the surgery it was discovered that she had also had mutiple hernias that needed to sutured. One was large enough that her intestines were protruding a little and surely would have caused her serious issues later. The vet believes that something, possibly a dog, had attacked her at some point to cause so many small punctures. Ruby is doing great post surgery and will be able to go to her new home very soon.

Posted on April 7, 2014Momma kitty is back at the rescue now. She is feeling better, but still not eating a lot. She is still being treated for the mastitis and once she is cleared she will be spayed. Both kittens are still doing well with the bottle feeder.

Posted on April 3, 2014Momma kitty had to go back to the vet on 4-1-14. She was not eating, drinking or using the litter box and still running a low fever. After further inspection from the vet and some bloodwork it was determined that she has mastitis. She is on IV antibiotics and fluids and will be spayed as soon as possible. The kittens are doing great and are with a bottle feeder. Please share and donate any amount you can as she will need to stay at the vet for another 2-3 days.
