The Story

First of all, we would like to thank all our friends and family who've shown their love and support for Elijah during this very difficult time, its very much appreciated. As many of you may know, Elijah was recently admitted to the ER on 6/18/16 where he underwent a CT scan that revealed a blood clot near his brain. As soon as this was detected, he was rushed into surgery and has been in the ICU since and yet to awaken.

As you can imagine, this has been heartbreaking to say the least but we are remaining positive and are hopeful in his recovery. Because of the extent of his injuries and the long recovery time that is expected to follow, we know that expenses can rise quite quickly. After speaking with friends and family, we've decided to start this fundraiser in hope that family and friends will donate whatever they can to hopefully offset some of the medical costs and alleviate some of the financial worries. Again, thank you all for your support, it is greatly appreciated.

Today was a day with more activity from Little Elijah. He has been alert, awake, and moving a lot more. So far all these indicate a good progression into his recovery so we are excited and grateful. Along with all this,  he has been undergoing physical, speech and eating therapy. It's a slow process but we feel that he has definetly come a long way. if you want to check on him, you can visit his Facebook page at

As always, thank you all for caring and keeping our spirits high. We honestly cannot express our gratitude for all that everyone has done.

In case anyone hasn't seen the latest post on Elijah's FB page at https://www.facebook.com/elijahthemiracle/ . Elijah is scheduled to have the bone placed back into his skull later this afternoon. After speaking with the Surgeons and getting a fresh CT Scan, it appears that everything is looking good enough to have this final procedure. Knowing that this is being done because of his ongoing positive recovery, we are happy but scared at the same time. The surgeons said that this is definetly less evasive than his prior surgeries and also way less risks involved. With that, it gives us some assurance that he is going to be just fine surgery wise. Recovery though is still a long road ahead and we know that "baby steps" literally, are the best possible way for his continued improvements. We will keep everyone updated. As always, many thanks to everyone.

More Progress!!!

Last night was calming, got to visit with my little guy and he was moving a lot more. He's grabbing his own binkie and putting it in his mouth on his own which is amazing. He also rubbed his own eyes with his little hand. But he did do sonething naughty, he pulled out his feeding tube from his nose which wasn't good but then again, it was because that means he's feeling sensation and is coordinating a bit better.

He's been grabbing cords, blankets and his stuffed animals so again, all good signs. He will continue therapy for quite some time and we will be there every step of the way. Just thought I'd post this update and wanted to say thank you all again for your continued support!!!!
