The Story

Veteran, father, and husband fighting aggressive cancer needs your immediate help!

Matt is battling Stage IV Cholangiocarcinoma, a very aggressive cancer of the bile duct. Despite invasive surgery and such strong chemotherapy that he suffered nerve damage, one of the world's most notable cancer centers has discontinued his treatment and recommended he begin searching for experimental drugs in clinical trials using immunotherapy.

Because of the rarity and advanced stage of his cancer, the only remaining option is seeking in-trial drugs that are not yet on the open market.

This requires specialized doctors, out-of-state facilities, extensive travel across the nation, and an insurmountable financial investment.

Please help us in getting Matt the financial resources he needs to continue his fight against cancer! His family and friends love and need him.

We are doing all that we can, but we need the help of a greater community.

Although he needs no introduction to his friends and colleagues, it’s important that we all understand how special this person is. Matt Hogue is a military veteran, a new father, an MBA student, an IT professional, and a role model for others who have the same humble beginnings he did as a child. Matt is kind, but brave, and as compassionate as he is intelligent. Despite his challenges, he is always positive and outgoing, and focuses his attention on his family and others in need. He has a beautiful wife and infant son who are the center of his world.

Thank you for any donation you can make to help cover the cost of his search for a treatment. We assure you that every dollar donated will be used cautiously and responsibly.

Hi folks, here's a message from Brittany, if you don't see it on her Facebook.

----

I've tried several times to write this post but I'm having trouble finding the right words to show how very grateful I am. My family and I would like to thank each and every one of you for thinking of us for your prayers and donations we are truly thankful. We appreciate all the family friends and complete strangers that have reached out to help us navigate during this difficult time. If I haven't responded I apologize we received an overwhelming amount of responses and I am trying to sort through it all. It has been and still is a tedious process to search for a solution but we are still working on it and are staying positive. For now the latest update is we are heading to Texas for a consult with MD Anderson to see if they can come up with a plan of care. Please continue the prayers for our family and thank you all so much for all the support!!! 🙏🏼❤️
