Sweet Friends and Family,
As some of you know, I attended a creative discipleship school last fall called The 18 Inch Journey. In the woods of Sophia, North Carolina, the Father lavished me with some of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given—loving leadership, a deeper understanding of family and community, more freedom in my creative spirit, and the hope and healing that comes from walking with Jesus and the Holy Spirit in the intimate moments each day. I found friendship with 31 other students from around the world, and we were given the privilege of watching each other grow and become whole inside and out! I am moved to tears when I think of how The 18 Inch Journey has even transformed the lives of our children’s children. We were forever changed by the grace and love of the Father.
It is with great hope and joy that I am announcing my invitation to Phase 2 of The 18 Inch Journey! On May 24th, I will return to Sophia for 6 months to pursue a deeper relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and be formed in a family of students and leaders as we fight for friendship, joy, and each other’s wholeness. The first 4 months of Phase 2 will be a longer and slower paced season of discipleship, with more one-on-one leadership, teaching, creative arts classes and tending to the 52 acres of land where the school is located. During the final 2 months, we will serve the students of Phase 1 of the 18 Inch Journey—the school I attended last fall. As Phase 2 students, we will partner with the Father and press into becoming servant leaders who love the 32 students we once were while they take their journey.
So many of you prayed for me and financially supported me a year ago when I chose to take The 18 Inch Journey from my head to my heart. I want to deeply thank each one of you for the radical love you showed me during that season. Because of your faith and love, I received 60 days of discipleship and intentional help from the Lord that is changing the way I live my life, and how I love myself, my family, my friends, and Jesus.
In this season of preparing to return to the 18 Inch Journey, I am asking for your help again. Although I will be able to pay for part of the school, I do need financial support to attend. I will be raising $7000 between now and May 24th to cover the costs of tuition, living expenses, classes and art supplies during those 6 months. If you would like to help me attend Phase 2, there a few different ways you can give:
-Donate directly on this fundraising page
-Donate via http://www.18inchjourney.com/tuition

Lastly, the greatest gift I could ask for in this season is prayer. I am taking a risk in leaving home, working and my family and friends to deepen my relationship with Jesus for 6 months. I would love prayer for my transition over the next two months, and during the school-- that my heart would be receptive to all the growth and wholeness the Lord has to offer me this year.
I am so grateful for each of you, and amazed by the lavishness of God through you in this season of my life. If you would like to know more about The 18 Inch Journey, you can visit www.18inchjourney.com , or you can contact me personally at [email protected] I would love to share more with you over a cup of coffee and answer any questions you may have! Thank you all so much for investing in my heart and supporting me in this season.
