The Story

Wachs Services in Belmont, NC, has established two teams of employees and their families to participate in the Spartan Race in in the Charlotte, NC, area on April 9, 2016. Instead of just running for the fun of it (although it is certainly going to be fun) or for the personal growth and accomplishment (there will be that as well!), the teams at Wachs decided to solicit donations from friends and family to benefit two outstanding charities:
  • Make a Wish Foundation
  • Wounded Warrior Project
Each team will "run" on behalf of one of these charities. In making your donation, you may designate WHO (participant's name) or WHICH CHARITY you would like to support in the message area provided, although you may certainly feel free to donate in an unspecified way. Any gift is appreciated and will be used solely to benefit the organizations listed.

Wachs donates tens of thousands of dollars each year and countless volunteer hours of our employees to help our communities and other worthy charities. As a team, we are committed to continuing this legacy through this unique event - because WACHS CARES!

AN UPDATE FROM Wachs Cares Spartan Race Captain Chris Chick

As you know Wachs Cares has created a 21 man & woman team to race in the Charlotte Spartan Sprint Race. Not only are we racing to capture teamwork but utilizing the race to strengthen our bond as an organization. The main reason we are putting our bodies through the pain and gain of the race is because we are racing for a cause -- two causes, actually. We are raising money for “The Wounded Warrior Foundation” and for “Make A Wish Foundation." As you can see with the below racers we have set the bar high with having some key personnel in the organization so please take a moment to thank those personnel that our putting their bodies through the tough, muddy, barb-wire-infused conditions to support this incredible fundraisers.

Help Wachs to get the word out there by posting the link to your media outlets to help us help this wonderful nation we live in.
