Posted on December 14, 2017QUICK UPDATE: After conferring with several friends, I've decided not to put an end-date on this campaign. Turns out my main (unconscious) motivation for closing it was so that I wouldn't have to keep asking y'all for help! But right before I got my diagnosis, in a morning prayer I asked to learn how to be more vulnerable and more connected to community, and holy cow has cancer been a strange but perfect answer to that prayer! So I'll keep asking for help and letting it break down my patterning of stubborn self-reliance, so I can keep breaking open to vulnerability and not doing this alone. Thank you so much for all you've done, and for all you continue to do.
With lots of love & gratitude,

Posted on December 1, 2017Dear ones,
It's been a while since my last update. No news is good news! I've been enjoying this little miracle called steady paying acting work that lets me sleep in my own bed every night - like, seriously, whoa. (A castmate snapped this photo of me getting interviewed after our press unveiling in October!) This gig also allows me to focus my energy on healing and because of your generous support, I have a tiny one-woman cancer clinic set up in my home. All the equipment, food, and supplements I require are available to me, because of the healing fund. On Black Friday I was able to take advantage of a crazy-good sale on one of my supplements - because I had the funds to buy a year's worth at once, I paid $600 less than what I would have paid monthly for the next year. Let me take a moment to point out that just one supplement would have cost me $1500 for a year, but because of this crowdfund I was able to buy in bulk and spend just $900. For one (kickass) supplement.
The last few months have been maintenance time and I've spent them well, throwing everything I have toward getting well. This month, December, will be check-in time. I'll have my second thermogram as well as an ultrasound to check for any signs of new tumors. I've also decided after much research to get the RGCC or Greece Test done. This test monitors the number of circulating tumor cells in my body, and more importantly it tests the cancer I'm dealing with against dozens of healing protocols both conventional and alternative, to see which are most effective in teaching this particular cancer to die. I'm thrilled to have found a doctor to administer the test, and although the cost (approximately $4,000) isn't covered by health insurance, I can afford it thanks to you.
I've decided to end this fundraiser on December 31st; rumor has it that things like this do better when they have an end date. I'll be giving a couple of updates this month to keep up momentum. We've come amazingly far, and yet we're not quite halfway there. There's nothing quite like the season of giving, right? I believe that in the next 31 days we can get across the finish line!
As I may have shared before: the risk of cancer recurrence is highest two years after initial diagnosis. The words "cancer-free" don't get used until at least the five-year mark. Cancer is a long journey, and getting these funds raised will assure that I have access to what I need in order to be healthy in April 2019, and April 2022, and beyond. Let's do this!
Please share this message with anyone you think might be able to help. Please consider contributing if you haven't, or even if you have. Let's close out 2017 with a miracle!
Sending you so much love,
