Lucas is your typical (almost) 7 year old boy who loves Sonic, Minecraft and anything boy. He is the loving son of Jerrett and Danielle Sellers and brother to big sister Makayla and little brother Logan. He is a sweet kind-hearted kid who has a long road ahead of him. He has been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and will begin chemotherapy in the new few weeks.
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is the most common type of cancer in children. It affects certain cells in the immune system, called B cells and T cells. The disease starts in your bone marrow, which is the spongy center of bones where new blood cells grow. The leukemia cells grow very fast and crowd the bone marrow, so the bone marrow has trouble making enough normal cells. Chemotherapy is commonly used to treat the disease. The treatments usually last 3 years. Most of the time doctors don’t know what causes B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
We ask if at all possible, to donate whatever amount you can to help pay for all the unforeseen medical expenses the family will endure over the course of Lucas’ treatment.
You never think anything this devastating will happen to you. Please keep the Sellers family in your thoughts and prayers.
