Alexis Brown, mother of Louise 17yrs & Jessica 11yrs & wife of Craig has been fighting cancer for some time & recently her husband has informed me that Alexis has been given just 6 weeks to live before she will lose her fight to Cancer.
She fought it before & won.... But unfortunately not this time & it gives me deep sadness for the family!
It gives me a heavy heart to even imagine what Louise, Jessica, husband Craig & the rest of the family are going through at this difficult time, but I would like to offer the family my support .......& I hope that you will too after you read this...
I have known Louise, Jessica & the family for quite a few years now as they attended the gymnastics classes that I run.
Louise, former gymnast & now Junior coach offers her support to me by helping to coach the kids on a Sunday that attend my classes & her mum Alexis has always been a great support, always happy to offer her services to help out in any way needed, especially at competition time. Here is Alexis's story as told by her Daughter Louise....Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 years ago and she was able to beat it with going through chemotherapy etc but then it came back 6 years ago in her bones and liver. Mum was able to treat it with tablet form treatment initially. In November 2016 we found out that it had spread more in the bones and liver which meant that she was to start chemotherapy to help fight it and stop it spreading more. This then included visits to the hospital weekly for check-ups etc. Mum then also had 6 blood transfusions within 4 months as the chemotherapy caused her blood levels to drop so low it make her tired, which meant most days she couldn't stay awake for more than 5 minutes. On the 15th of June this year we found out that the cancer had spread to the brain after many tests and different types of scans and we were told that she had 6 weeks left to live........
About a week ago my mum had to go into hospital for the remainder of her life as it was getting too hard for me & Dad to cope looking after her as she couldn't stand & kept falling.... We were worried that she would hurt herself & wanted the best possible care for her.....
Unfortunately... Last night I heard that Louise's mum Alexis passed away.
Louise & her family know that she is no longer suffering & this gives them some peace in their hearts!
Alexis was one of the nicest & kindest people I have ever met & it really saddens me that her life with her family has been cut short due to Cancer.
Alexis was always happy, always smiling, always supportive & really a true inspirational woman with a big, big heart!
She was a wonderful mother, a much loved wife, a great supportive friend to anyone that was lucky enough to have had the chance to get to know her.
I will never forget her kindness over the years & for this reason.....
I would like to raise funds for Louise, Jessica & Craig to help them through this really difficult time financially especially as Craig had to give up his work to care for Alexis due to her needing his support more & more as she deteriorated, eventually losing this fight that she fought so well!
If you can help Louise & her family to move forward by showing your support, your kindness would mean so much!
Thank you so much for your support!
