The Story

What would you do if you found out you have a child in another country?  To make a VERY long story short..... We are a loving family of EIGHT. We have adopted 4 special needs children from China and we have two biological children. Recently while on FB I  stumbled across the photo of a beautiful little girl. I  noticed right away that she looked just like my adopted daughter and is from the same orphanage as our Aubrey. And this sweet girl would be aging out soon. In AUG!! The post was asking to advocate for her and of course I wanted to help. I stared at the photo for the longest time though because I couldn't believe how much she looked like my daughter. Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought this because as soon as I shared her photo, I started getting messages from others who thought the same thing. So ironic.... Days passed and yet I couldn't get this little girl off my mind. I  kept remembering the day I visited the orphanage and ask if my daughter had siblings. No one really ever said anything. Could this girl be her sister? My heart had always felt like she had a sister and that we were leaving someone behind. I had to know.  I couldn't rest until I knew. After lots of prayers and two weeks of pacing the floors, finally a DNA  test confirmed my suspicion. YES THEY ARE SISTERS!!! The girl in the photo was in fact the biological sister of my daughter! In no other terms, that means that I  have a daughter! That also means I MUST GET HER HOME TO HER FAMILY, FAST!    OUT OF 143 MILLION ORPHANS in the world, I  stumble across the biological sister of my adopted child. Had to be God!!! This didn't just happen. This is why I  need you.......We just got home a year ago with our last adoption and we basically still owe for the entire thing. We are a one income family supporting eight people. I am the one driven by emotions, my husband is driven by reality. Initially he said there is just no way we can afford it. He was right and I knew it but I  have been physically ill thinking about every day that passes with this sweet girl sitting in China as her time runs out. She is my daughter. She has only had a family 2 days her entire life and on her birthday in August, her chance for a family will be lost forever. How can I rest knowing that? So after a lot of prayers my husband has agreed to use our tax return to begin a home study but we know that's as far in the process that money will take us. We will need a lot of help to pull this off! We are asking for fundraising ideas and any means of support possible. I am honestly just not good at asking for help but if I  cannot raise the money we will have no choice but to stop the adoption.      This will have to be  an expedited adoption to get this precious girl before her birthday so we have to raise funds quickly enough to keep up with financial needs as the adoption progresses. That's the challenging part. There is no time to prepare or save. Our daughter Aubrey is such a blessing to our family. Both girls have Cerebral Palsy and are very delayed. What a gift it would be for them to not only have a family but to have EACH OTHER! I hope to be able to work this out and share the news with her soon!   Please help us get this sweet girl HOME where she belongs. We will begin our home study this week. I'm going to dig deep into what the Lord says about having faith. I'm going to step with both feet knowing that he will bridge the gap.    OHANA means family! Family means nobody gets left behind or is forgotten.  Lilo & Stitch

Ok, Ok I can't wait anymore!! I've typed this several times and lost it when this great sight wouldn't work. To make a super long story short. Months ago when praying about bringing Aubrey's precious sister Avery home .God gave me two girl names!! I was so puzzled?!?! I'm like God we only have one more daughter and if we adopt again you know I still have a place in my heart for another little boy? But I couldn't get these two girl names off my mind. Well funny how God knows what his perfect plan is all along and trys to give me clues so I'll be prepared when he's just like Lisa this is what I need you to do!!!  So one day while checking our fundraiser on line and talking adoption with some of my wonderful adoptive friends we seen one of the saddest most precious video's I believe I've ever seen. Such a sweet ,Kind spirited Christian little 13 yr old aging out girl pleading for a family. Her nanny is a Christian so has taught her to love the Lord!! I tell you folks I was weeping like a baby the first couple of minutes . But didn't really think too much more about it other than man this angel has to find a family!! Well when my husband was at the kitchen table nearby and we scrolled past her video he ask me to play it! REALLY???Now if you know my husband he's a wonderful guy and the best dad I've ever seen!! I mean really not just saying that ask anyone who knows him. His kids think he's made of gold. but I have always had to coach him initially in the adoption process. and then of course when he meets these precious kiddos he's done for. We'll after he watched the video he said do you know if she has a family? She is so sweet she reminds me of Aubrey! We should call and see if we can add her to our adoption?!?! Well after I literally felt like picking myself up off the floor I said yes we'll pray about it and call and see what they say! Well when I called Madison they said they usually didn't like to approve families for more than one aging out child at a time because it can be such a challenge. So after a week of many many questions, phone conferences, more questions I received the call today saying yes we were approved by them to add this precious little girl to our adoption. WOW, WOW,WOW here was that second girl name that I just couldn't get out of my mind. and God gave me the two most perfect names so fitting for these two special little angels! Aubrey's biological sister Avery will be named Avery Charlene after my wonderful grandma Charlene! She is definitely one in a million. I have so many precious childhood memories. She is truly one of the most loving, giving caring God filled ladies I've evr met in my life. and yes I'm partial but anyone who has ever met her would tell you the same. So when Avery is home and can speak English well and understand she will appreciate her very special name. Now for our second angel!!! Her name will ne Molly Katelyn!! again she has a very special name after my other wonderful granny Molly. I can't say enough. she was one in a million also. So caring and would give you the shirt off her back. Never had a negative word about anyone. Even those who didn't treat her well at all. Now she is an angel in Heaven and I know would be honored to have such a sweet girl named after her. So I ask you all to please keep us in your daily prayers!! Please share our story!! If you feel led to give and help us fulfill God's perfect journey for these two sweet girls please do. Please pray God will be working in there hearts to prepare them for a family and all the love we have for them. Pray for me that I can be the best mother to each of my children as they all have different needs. I truly am living my childhood dream! God is good!! So good! If you don't know him your missing out. I can't say enough about what he's done for me or how he's changed my life for the better. Please pray for safe travels and the best adoption trip yet! Please pray well reach our goal for Aubrey and get our matching grant! Prayers we'll raise the additional extra 15,500 it will costs to add Molly. Not including travel! I don't even want to think  about that costs yet. But God will provide. I'm so over the top excited, nervous and just really crazy emotions right now. But then in another way I have total peace about saying YES to adding Molly!! I have been praying specific prayers about this for the last week and a half and got my answer from God today!!Now I know why God gave me two names. He was trying to tell me something. Many Blessings and Love to you all for all your support and prayers
