Coal is an example of just one of our rescues cats in need of a little "extra" medical care. He is a very sweet older boy, who went through a VERY traumatic experience(s) before coming to Kitty Kat Haven. We weren’t sure Coal would make it through the first month. He is FIV+, deaf, arthritic, has had multiple broken bones, and has missing fur due to massive trauma. Despite all this, Coal has blossomed and is thriving with us! He is now VERY healthy and has learned to trust again. We have done several full-workups with the only thing left is his dental to take care of his MANY fractured teeth (Cost $400). We also currently have several cats with ongoing UTI's that we are working on.
Kitty Kat Haven regularly get messages about adult cats with “special needs,” in need of a "home" in between homes. We take in cats with disabilities, seniors & geriatrics, cats with Rx diets, as well as cats on medications, or behavior issues. If we have space and money for a basic wellness check we take them. As with most special needs pets, a basic wellness check is just the start. Our kitties regularly need lab work ups, like blood testing, x-rays, urine testing, as well as dentals and surgeries. Many needing multiply things done.
PLEASE consider helping us out by donating to this fundraiser, all the money collected will go straight to the vet services that our very special cats need in order to find their forever homes. For those who like to donate offline please make checks out to Kitty Kat Haven mail checks/money orders to PO BOX 306, Chehalis WA 98532. Please note this is for our medical fund when sending checks. Or you donate directly to our medical account at Chehalis – Centralia Veterinary Hospital in Chehalis Washington. THANK YOU for your time and support.
Giving 2nd chances to local adult cats, and taking the time to find Forever Homes
KITTY KAT HAVEN is a cage-free, no-kill, 501c3 non-profit adult only cat rescue located in Lewis County, WA. As an all-volunteer organization, we house adult cats in need of more time and attention than normal shelters can provide. We take in cats with disabilities, seniors & geriatrics, cats with Rx diets, cats on medications, behavior issues, and only pets.
Our organization believes that community education and outreach is the key to more cats finding their forever homes. We encourage people to take the time to get to know their cats, and give them the proper care they need. We believe there are no bad cats, just misplaced or misunderstood ones. We provide a safe, clean, loving environment in order to create more adoptable cats. As well as provide a shelter for cats with special needs.
If we have space and money for a basic wellness check we take them. The cats unable to be placed live out their lives, in safety and comfort, with us. For more information about Kitty Kat Haven, visit our website at www.kittykathaven.org
