Kingsport Theater Guild (KTG) is entering its 69th year as a community theatre. We at KTG believe in promoting growth and education, offering encouragement and hope, building self-esteem and engaging the minds of not only the actors, directors and crew, but also the community in which we are based. KTG is a starting point for many who are interested in pursuing an education or career in theatre. It is an escape from reality for a few hours for those who are seeking it. KTG is also a place that many call ‘home’, where returning cast and crew are considered family and newcomers are welcomed with open arms.
A community theatre uses and helps develop a wide variety of talents including: acting, directing, set building, lighting, painting, sewing, makeup, social media sharing, organizers, and more. But even with our numerous volunteers, financial support is a major factor in the success of our projects. Our goal for the 2016-2016 season is to raise $50,000.
We know that you, being such an important part of KTG, will be able to help us achieve this goal. There are multiple opportunities in which you can help us achieve this goal:
Executive Producer ($5,000 and up)
Director ($2,500 - $4,999)
Lead Actor ($1,000 - $2,499)
Supporting Role ($500 - $999)
Ensemble ($250 - $499)
Understudy ($100 - $249)
Chorus Member ($50 - $99)
Friend of the Guild ($1 - $49)
This season, we are again offering two fun-filled weekends for each of our EIGHT Main Stage shows as well as single weekend performances of five shows in our KTG: Downtown series. We will be offering workshops and other events throughout the year and will continue to partner with area businesses on a variety of projects. We will also have school performances for each of our Main Stage shows with a full educational component attached for teachers and students for before and after the show.
Thank you for being all that Kingsport Theatre Guild is, has been, and will always be!
