Hello, My name is Adrienne and my husband Kenny has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Disease.
I never thought the Doctor would tell us that my husband is terminally Ill. He's 41 and has so much life to live still! He has been through a lot of medical procedures in the last 6 years. Including a bowel resection, ostomy reversal, hernia repair and a grand mal seizure last summer.
In May 2017, Kenny thought he was sick with the flu but it was the first symptoms of stage 4 liver disease. He has had ct scans, MRI and guided ultrasound with paracentesis. From the liver disease he also has portal hypertension, enlarged spleen, 2 bilateral renal hernias that are inoperable and esophageal varices. He suffers from fluid retention and fatigue daily. We are doing the best we can during this difficult time of uncertainty.
Currently, Kenny has been going to Different Doctor's and having a lot of very expensive tests even after insurance it cost a lot of money. In the past 9 months we have spent close to $25,000 on tests/ co pays and Prescription medication.
The Doctors are telling us that the only way Kenny can get through this and live is with a liver Transplant.
The money that is raised will help pay for medical bills, tests and meds that are not covered by insurance. Liver transplants are very costly even with insurance. Costs are close to a half million dollars.
We are currently waiting to get Kenny on the transplant list, which could happen at any time. We meet with the transplant team this week. There are lot's of determining factors, WE HAVE TO SHOW PROOF OF $10,000 IN SAVINGS SET A SIDE FOR TRANSPLANT EXPENSES!!! They take everything into account when being put on a transplant list.
The only thing Kenny can do right now is eat healthy, try and stay positive and get lots of rest and keep going through tests/Doctor appointments.
I appreciate any donation or words of encouragement and prayers.
Any of you that donated anonymous, Thank You very much.
