Posted on February 10, 2017Hello! It's 2/10 and we're currently back at Hopkins. Kennady spiked a fever this past Wednesday because of a virus and ultimately couldn't battle it because her body's white blood cell count is zero. We're being admitted and given antibiotics around the clock. We can't leave until her blood count is at 200. They also are currently giving her a blood transfusion because her red cell count was at around 7 this morning. This is all very normal when you're going through chemo and getting a virus on top of it just wipes their bodies out. So this is nothing new, or alarming. In fact, Kennady is in really good spirits and back to herself after her fever broke. Fingers crossed we get out of here sooner than later before we have to be back for round two of chemo! Oh! We also cut her hair off and now looks like an adorable little fairy haha!

Posted on February 7, 2017First round of chemo went well! Her blood count dropped on the last day so she needed a transfusion but other than that she did it like a boss! Her side effects have been nausea and itchy head from her hair starting to fall out.

Posted on February 1, 2017Kennady's biopsies have came back 100% as Neuroblastoma. She is in stage 4 but her tumor itself is not "amplified" meaning it is more intermediate which is WONDERFUL! The downside is that they did see that it has spread to her right leg and a bit on her liver. Today she had a Hickman line placed as well as a bone marrow biopsy to see if it is on the bone or in the marrow. Tomorrow is her first day of chemotherapy and the start to our years worth of treatment! We cannot thank you all enough for the love and support you have given us ❤️
