The Story

Kelsey has another fight infront of her.

She is a wife and mom to Bentley 5 and Brinley 2.5.
She was diagnosed in April of 2015 at the age of 25 with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer while pregnant. She completed 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 33 rounds of radiation and 1 mastectomy along with the birth of a healthy baby girl.

She completed treatment and was in remission and was at her healthiest.

In mid December 2017 she had become ill with a severe back ache and what was thought to be a cold.

She ended up going into the walkin clinic because she was having trouble breathing and her back pain wasnt getting any better and that is when they discovered fluid in her right lung.

The next day she had 1.5 liters of fluid removed from her lungs. She was told she needed to see her oncology doctor as soon as possible.

January 9th 2018 she went in for a Petscan and that is when they discovered that the cancer had spread to her lungs and bones.

She has Stage 4 terminal metastic breast cancer that has spread to her lungs and bones.

She has a long road ahead of her and she's ready to fight. She is undergoing all treatments in Chicago.

Any donation will help this young family out.

Back To Chicago

We decided to head back to Chicago the end of July.  Things here haven't been going well and I have been sick for weeks now. I haven't been able to eat any solids for over two weeks and that is not making things any better.

Since coming back from Chicago 3 months ago I have been in the ER 4 times and clinic multiple times more.. So we are hoping to get better care and figure things out.❤

It's been awhile since my last update.

Since then I was in the ER again for extremely painful bone pain.

We decided to do radiation to my Cervical&Thoracic Spine to hopefully help with pain, because the pain medication is not helping and the two spots are pretty large and didn't respond to the chemo.

I just did chemotherapy on Monday then met with the radiation Dr to set up a plan.

I started radiation on Wednesday and will do that everyday for 10 sessions.

It's been awhile since my last update..since then I started treatments locally. I am still doing chemo every 3 weeks through infusions.

We decides to start locally because the trip every 3 weeks was getting exhausting and financially it was getting to be too much.  I will be going back to Chicago in August for scans and do a treatment while I'm there.

I did end up going to the emergency room on Sunday with chest pains.

Monday the pain in my bones had gotten so bad I couldn't even move.  Luckily my oncology doctor was on call so Ryan was able to speak with him. We are hoping these 2 chemos I'm on will be enough that we don't have to add another in again.
