The Story

Kelsey has another fight infront of her.

She is a wife and mom to Bentley 5 and Brinley 2.5.
She was diagnosed in April of 2015 at the age of 25 with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer while pregnant. She completed 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 33 rounds of radiation and 1 mastectomy along with the birth of a healthy baby girl.

She completed treatment and was in remission and was at her healthiest.

In mid December 2017 she had become ill with a severe back ache and what was thought to be a cold.

She ended up going into the walkin clinic because she was having trouble breathing and her back pain wasnt getting any better and that is when they discovered fluid in her right lung.

The next day she had 1.5 liters of fluid removed from her lungs. She was told she needed to see her oncology doctor as soon as possible.

January 9th 2018 she went in for a Petscan and that is when they discovered that the cancer had spread to her lungs and bones.

She has Stage 4 terminal metastic breast cancer that has spread to her lungs and bones.

She has a long road ahead of her and she's ready to fight. She is undergoing all treatments in Chicago.

Any donation will help this young family out.

Just got back from Chicago yesterday afternoon..with less than great news.

I had a CT scan along with a Bone Scan and the bone scan came back not great. I have from top to bottom with not much improvement.  Not the news we wanted to hear.

I will be on chemo infusions forever to keep the cancer at point until it stops working. I asked for more options as in chemo pills but the cancer is too far advanced and pills won't be enough.

This is also the reason my bones hurt when it's time for my next chemo because the cancer is starting up again. We are trying to buy as much time as possible ❤

Next time to Chicago will be my last infusion treatment there.Financially we just can't afford to keep going and the trip every 3 weeks is getting exhausting. I will start infusions in Bismarck then again.

I'm back home now..

Chemo day was a long day I was there at 8 a.m   did infusions from 1:30-7:00.

I did ask about some pain options for the pain in my bones but I'm kinda at a stand still with that as nothing is really safe enough to do. Chemo helps for the first 2 weeks then I can tell it's time again for more chemo because that's when it's at the worst.

We went through the first scans that showed lesions of cancer all over my bones from my arms, back, chest, ribs and pelvis.

My next visit will be doing a Bone Scan and CT scan to see how I'm responding and where we go from there with treatments.

I fly out again April 12th-14th🛫
