The Story

Kelsey has yet another fight infront of her.

She is a wife and mom to Bentley 5 and Brinley 2.5.
She was diagnosed in April of 2015 at the age of 25 with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer while pregnant. She completed 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 33 rounds of radiation and 1 mastectomy along with the birth of a healthy baby girl.

She completed treatment and was in remission and was at her very healthiest.

In mid December 2017 she had become ill with a severe back ache and what was thought to be a cold.

She ended up going into the walkin clinic because she was having trouble breathing and her back wasnt getting any better and that is when they discovered fluid in her right lung.

She had the 1.5 liters of fluid removed the next day but then was given the news that her cancer had returned and metastasized.

January 9th 2018 she went in for a Petscan and that is when they discovered that the cancer had spread to her lungs and bones.

She has Stage 4 metastic breast cancer that had spread to her lungs and bones.

She has a long road ahead of her and she's ready to fight. Any donation will help her and her family with medical expenses.

Heading back to Chicago today!!! Just boarded the plane!

Appointments starting tomorrow morning. I see  my oncology doctor tomorrow and the pulmonary doctor as well.  Praying no fluid in the lungs so I don't need that catheter!

I'll be doing another round of chemo as well!

Was hoping bloodwork would be good .....

But I gotta go back Friday before I leave Sunday for more bloodwork to check if my numbers are any better. If not I won't be able to do chemo.

Praying everything comes back good!

Made it through the first week(the hard week). I got sick last Thursday and today I'm finally feeling like a person. The side effects from this round of chemo is definitely a lot harder then my first go around.

I've had bone pain all over, some of it comes from the Neulasta patch because it's creating extra bone marrow. So trying to figure out ways to manage that.

I was excited to get out yesterday and finally watch Bentley play hockey. I sure did miss that. 🏒❤

I go in next week locally to get my blood drawn to make sure my numbers are good enough for me to leave on the 25th for Chicago again.

Fingers crossed when I see the Pulmonary Doctor there's no fluid in the lungs so I don't need to come home with a pleural catheter. I talked my way out of it last time but I know it's coming if there's any fluid.
