On February 28, 2017, my mother in law lost next to everything in a tornado in Gibson County, Indiana. The roof of her home was blown off, windows blown out, walls torn apart. Her shop and outbuildings were both leveled, to the point that we aren't really sure where the walls are. My mother in law, Karen Schultz, escaped physically unscathed, but she is left with nothing. With the help of family members, they have attempted to dig through rubble and salvage what pieces are left. We are asking for help. Though Karen had homeowner's insurance, it's a long process, and we need help now. Karen is out of work for the moment and without a home. Insurance will only cover so much, and there are decades of memories and necessities that are gone. You never think about the things you use daily, until you don't have them anymore. Numerous family members are taking off work to help and travel, so any amount you can offer will help us begin to rebuild a life that was torn apart by a natural disaster.
