Posted on May 19, 2017Last month, Julie Elizabeth had surgery where they installed a pump that gives chemo directly to her liver. This surgery was 10 hours long and there were several complications, but she is now recovering and I'm thrilled to say that the pump works and while the cancer has grown a bit - it's being treated with the pump. In two weeks she will also start to get full body chemo to combat more of the cancer.
Unfortunately all of this has taken a huge toll on her physically, emotionally, and financially. So while she is doing far better than anyone ever expected (yay!), she still has so much to fight. Every time she gets chemo put into the pump or receives the full body dose, she needs to travel 4 hours round trip. She is still unable to work, as is her fiancé (he proposed to her over Christmas!) since he is caring for her, their infant son, and assisting with her other three children. Because of this, they recently lost their housing and had to move to a small 3 bedroom condo. They are a family of 6. They are I desperate need of help. Every little bit helps. Every share helps.
Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much all the help we have received means to us, or how inspriring my sister is. She's a true warrior. Please help me help her continue her war.

Posted on March 24, 201741 years ago today, my best friend in the world was born who happens to be my sister as well. Today she's fighting for her life, and while she still has a long way to go, we are so relieved to report that she's completed a full round of chemo and thanks to that and #cannabis, the cancer has not spread!! Couldn't ask for a better Birthday gift for her. She deserves it. Happy Birthday Julie Elizabeth Brooks. I don't know who I would be without you.

Posted on December 18, 2016Last week I was with Julie while she started chemo. There were some complications and a bit of trial and error, but she made it through. We are all so grateful for your continued love and support. Please continue to share Julie's story with this link as she won't be returning to work at this point and her boyfriend is now caring for her full time and also currently unemployed. Every little bit helps to ease some of their stress. Thank you so much. XO.
