Just a few weeks ago, Judy McDonald, was given the diagnosis of breast cancer and she let many of us know about it in her usual way...through humor.
As a Catholic Comedian and itinerant minister, Judy travels across the country sharing her passion for the Gospel and evangelizing while bringing us to tears with laughter. I know she has touched so many lives and has lifted up with her incredible wit and love of God.
In the coming weeks and months ahead Judy will be undergoing surgery (bilateral mastectomy) as well as additional treatment to kick cancer to the curb. Judy will be focusing her efforts on healing and wellness and taking the necessary time to recover. She will also keep making us laugh. Because she's Judy.
There are a few ways you can help Judy during this time.
Pray! Please pray for Judy, Daisy (her service dog), her family, and all her medical team. Let's ask God for complete and total healing for Judy, grace for her family, wisdom for her medical team, and for Daisy to be extra awesome.
Encouragement! Drop Judy a note, send a care package, put some prayer cards in the mail, make a meal if you are local, run some errands. Personal connection and encouragement during an illness is so important.
Donate! Judy will be cutting back on work at her parish in order to focus on her surgery, recovery, and treatment plan. This means her income will be compromised severely. The goal of this fundraiser is to help Judy cover the out of pocket costs for her surgery but also allow her several months to commit to her treatment plan, recovery and healing without having to worry about monthly expenses for her and Daisy. Any amount given is helpful.
Thank you for your love and friendship with Judy! And thank you for your support!
