UPDATE: Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the love and care you all have shown in support of our family!
Mike Yeakley was the strongest, healthiest person any of us have ever known. Everyday, he worked, played, loved, and served hard, with stamina and joy. He loved to play in the outdoors—rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking—and he shared this love with Joy and their boys.
Mike was incredibly loyal. You knew exactly who his people were—he was all-in for his family and friends.
On April 13, Mike’s heart gave out while he was climbing a steep hill on his mountain bike in Ute Valley Park.
Mike’s will and testament anticipated this day, and made a request of us: “Rejoice with me as I am no longer an alien and stranger in the world. Rejoice with me as I am finally home.”
Joy survives Mike along with their sons, Corban (15) and Byron (13). This memorial fund has been established for the care of Mike’s family. Please give as generously as you are able, and pray for the Yeakley family as they grieve and, yes, rejoice with Mike.
