The Story

John and his dog Sampson always stand on the same corner in Phoenix, that is how I met them. They have a room they stay in, but it has no heat, electric, refrigerator or running water. It's just a place to protect them from the rain. John says Sampson sleeps on his chest at night to keep him warm.

Please find it in your heart to help me, help them. Together we can make a difference in their lives. We can keep them warm and fed and safe. Any amount is welcome and desperately needed.

UPDATE: The Phoenix news picked up the story on John and Sampson and interviewed John and me. You can watch the video here:

The reporter for CBS5/3TV news station contacted me yesterday about wanted to do a story on us. She was amazed by how the community and our friends all got together to replace John's stolen bike, pet trailer and all of his new clothes. The story aired on the 9:00 pm news Saturday night in Arizona. Once again John says thank you from his heart to all those who donated 💕.

I met with John and Sampson to drop off his pet trailer. With some of the donations, I was able to buy John: shoes, belt, tool kit, 4 shirts, 4 pants, socks, foot pump, pair of jeans, and a battery operated shaver. You have all made a difference in John and Sampson's life!

**The goal is to try to get John and Sampson into some kind of shelter or housing and some needed dental work.

Right now John is living off minimal amount of food and necessities. Thank you Penny Eims for writing this story in your magazine. Thank you Search for Sassy for telling my story to Penny ❤️.

The world is cruel. I just saw John and Sampson this morning John was crying his bike, new pet trailer, DVD player, and all of his new clothes that we bought for him for his birthday was all stolen the other day when he was charging up his cell phone. John's cell phone was his life line this is how he is able to communicate with me and his other friends. He and Sampson were taking a nap during that time and some POS took off with his cell phone charging in the wall and took everything he owned including his back pack. This rips my heart out to no end. Not only did they steal off of John but they stole off of Sampson. John cried and cried and said he was so proud of his new pet trailer that we all donated. The only thing John had this morning was his daily lunch that I bring to him. I am choked up and angry while writing this.

I told John I'm going order him another bike, pet trailer and get him all new clothes again this weekend. I can only hope he will accept these. His heart is so broken that when I told him I was going to that he said why when it's going to happen again. I won't let these POS destroy John's pride and dignity. Please help if you can and share with your friends.

So happy that John had on his new boots, gloves, hat and coat. It's a cold one this morning. I gave him a lint remover since he was worried about dog hair on his black coat 🙂John's bike has two little stockings on it. One has an S for his dog Sampson..too cute. 🤗

For those of you who helped donate thank you very much. 🙂 Some of the money went towards a dog bed for Sampson and the rest will be used towards a trailer hookup for John's bike. John says his old trailer was stolen. He used to ride Sampson (dog) in it all the time. I found out today John has no teeth. He said his dentures were in his backpack when it was stolen a year ago. I guess I can stop packing all those red delicious crunchy apples. Tomorrow we'll start with apple sauce. 🍎
