I am asking the shooting community to come together to support Jim Greenwood’s Family as they recover from a devastating fire that has destroyed the contents of Jim’s business. This fire has left Jim unemployed until he can afford to rebuild and retool his shop.
When the fire broke out on Friday, March 3rd it quickly engulfed Jim’s shop destroying all of Jim’s assets that he has worked so hard for over the years. Jim tried his best to battle the fire, but ultimately he lost the battle and was later taken to the local hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
For those of you that know Jim personally you know that he is a great man that loves his family and is truly a master at the craft of stock making. Jim supports his wonderful family through his craft as a custom stock maker. Unfortunately this fire has turned Jim’s life upside down put him in a situation that has made it nearly impossible for him to support his family.
Jim and his wife Michele are the parents of three wonderful children. Jim’s son, Jared, a sophomore in high school and is often seen helping Jim in his shop. Kaitlyn is Jim and Michele’s middle child. Kaitlyn is a senior in high school and is currently taking college classes and will graduate high school with an associate degree. Jim’s oldest daughter, Alyssa, is currently a junior at Kansas State and was told the unfortunate news of the fire while in France as she completes a study abroad program.
I am asking the shooting community for donations to help Jim and his family get back on their feet after this life changing fire. I know Jim’s main concern in life is caring for his family and enabling them to have a successful future. Let’s help Jim rebuild. If you know Jim he is everyone’s friend and will help you when the opportunity arises. Please spread the word and share this!!
