The Story

Barn Raising is costly, however, Every Splinter Helps! Donate Your Splinter Today!

We will be using PayPal to accept donations for your convenience.

PayPal is the secure, safe, and FDIC insured way for donors to pay with any major credit card.

The size of barn that we raise will be determined by you the donor. The larger the barn, the more things possible that we can do with it.

“When fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade”
One of my favorite quotes of all time from Dale Carnegie.

Fate handed us a truck load of lemons when our workshop bit the dust. How do we make lemonade with this load of lemons? I asked my self. So far no immediate answer. The funds are not there for us to rebuild. If this is Gods Will... it will happen, if not, back to the knee-mail.

We first thought about a metal building. That would be the smartest thing for us as the elements won’t deteriorate it like a wooden building. Unfortunately that takes a lump sum and depends on all the funds at once. Lots of building codes to meet and so on. Not to mention the property taxes on the metal building each year.

During my research and tons of prayers, I found that a pole barn all but eliminates property taxes. And it can be built one piece at a time. Using crusher run gravel for the flooring. I would rather have concrete flooring because it is much more durable but a poor man has to make do with what fate provides him to work with.

Building a Pole Barn will allow the donors to donate materials rather than money if they choose to do so. It also will allow them to donate their expertise and labor as well.

Those that know we operate a nonprofit farm knows that I will use this barn to continue to help others and that this barn will allow me to continue to do the things that we do to make our farm self efficient in making money to support our farm rather than depend on donations to operate our farm. See our website for farm Lighthouse Food Farm.

Rather than waste your time by listing all the great things we could do with this barn and how many ways it will help us take care of our equipment from the weather and from the thieves these days. I will just say if you have any questions, visit our website and view our contact page. This page will give you our physical address, mailing address and contact number. You may contact us with any questions.

I ask that even if you can not help with materials or a donation to please share so that it will give others an opportunity to help.

Thank you for your most valuable time and attention.
