Our friends Jesse and Jennie Lizarraga are a retired couple from Fontana California. For the last 20 years they have promoted the Empire Wrestling Federation where Jesse is known professionally as Jesse Hernandez. He trains aspiring wrestlers at his school in San Bernardino and it has been their mission to bring a little bit of happiness to whomever they can through the art of Professional Wrestling.
At 2:30am Saturday February 11, 2017 Jesse was returning home from one of his events as he has many times through the years when his truck’s cab began to fill with smoke. Before he could pull the truck to the side of the road, the back of the truck was engulfed in flames.. In a matter of minutes their business was gone.
They made contact with their insurance company but for a variety of reasons nothing is going to be covered. Everything they lost will have to be replaced with money they realistically just do not have.
They fully intend to rebuild their business so that they can resume operation. As of right now they are looking at possibly using money from their retirement savings. That is the last thing that we want them to have to do.
Whether its helping someone chase their dream for free, giving someone a place to stay or helping raise funds for a good cause they are always there. They are people you can count on. They are also people that are too proud to ask for the financial help they need and that’s why we are here now.
The ring’s frame was salvaged from the fire. They are in need of funds to rebuild it. The sound system used to make their shows happen was also destroyed. It is a long road back to where they were. But anything is possible with love and faith.
So many lives have been touched by Jesse’s generosity. If you are reading this, and Jesse has helped you, please help out however you can. Obviously financial contributions are needed, but if nothing else please share this information so other people can get a look at it as well.
Thanks for taking the time to read and share. God bless.
