Posted on August 9, 2017Our son, Jacob, just moved in his own apartment and will start a new job next week. It has taken almost seven months after a near fatal car accident to launch a new beginning for his life. I'm including below his Facebook post that sums up his feelings and thankfulness for all of you who encouraged him and generously gave to help him with his financial needs. He still needs your help with some medical bills and startup costs of getting his life back in order. Please consider that while you read his update.
"Guess who just moved in to his new apartment!?!?!? Sitting in my new place I am overwhelmed with emotions. Thankfulness, love, hope, fear, strength, bewilderment to name a few. "How is this even happening?" I am thinking. A little less than 7 months ago my life was rocked with a near death auto accident. I woke up in the ICU covered in blood and my life in ruins. I was fighting for my very life and existence. It was at my lowest that my family and friends came to my rescue. Words can not even begin to thank each and every one of you for your love, your support, your finances, your prayers and your undying belief that I could and would be whole again. THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU!!
I have a long road ahead of me still. I am dealing with pain, uncertainty, fear and weakness. Physical therapy is very hard and slow. This tragedy could have broken many people but because of all of you I stand here today. Yeah a little wobbly but I stand none the less. I have a new place, I have a new job starting, every day I work to get stronger, I have my family, my friends and undying belief that sometimes we do get new beginnings.
So as I embark down this new path I wanted to look back and give thanks to all of you. I am alive today because of you and I can live tomorrow because of you. So again THANK YOU ALL AND I LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!
