Mary Walker came to us in such poor condition that when I first met her I almost cried. She was dirty, filthy to be more accurate, matted with urine and feces. Her coat had to be completely shaved off. It was undetermined if she had ever lived inside a home. She was not housebroken, knew no basic commands and could not go up or down stairs. In spite of all this, Isobel took one look at her and said, "This dog. This is my dog" Fingers crossed we started Mary on her journey to become a service dog for Isobel.
Isobel is an Army veteran who fought in Iraq twice. She is married with 4 children. As if surviving a war wasn't enough, Isobel was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2015. She can now also add that to the list of unfortunate situations she has had to overcome.
Mary is needed desperately to help Isobel with PTSD, anxiety, depression and agoraphobia.
On September 14th Isobel will come here for a week and we will begin transfer training Mary to her. Please help us raise the funds needed for Isobel's hotel stay.
