Help harness a 10KSB alum’s successful island business to reach victims of Hurricane Maria
When the power of logistics meets the generosity of compassionate donors, true change happens. That’s why Iris Vincent, 2016 10KSB alum and a resident of Puerto RIco, is reaching out for help in leveraging her company’s logistical know-how to reach more families impacted by Hurricane Maria. As the head of Prime Air Corp., considered the backbone of the island’s manufacturing center, Iris and her employees work every day with Puerto Rico’s manufacturing facilities to transport pharmaceuticals, commercial products, and other goods to people around the globe.
Although Prime Air is fully functional -- and all of its employees and their families are safe -- Iris wants to do more to help her fellow islanders access the very basic necessities for survival: food, water, and energy. No one on the island has the logistical know-how like Prime Air in getting these items delivered as soon as possible to the small businesses with whom they interact daily, as well as the employees of those businesses.
Your gift will feed hard-working people while also assisting the Puerto Rican economy. And Prime Air has the logistics to make it happen. Please help us provide:
- Meals Ready To Eat - Nearly 30% of Puerto Ricans are without running water and food.
- Small Generators - 90% of Puerto Ricans remain without electricity.
- Small Wood Burning Stoves and Solar Ovens - It’s estimated that the electrical grid will take months to repair, these stoves and ovens are needed to bridge that gap.
“The level of dedication of all the Prime Air employees has exceeded my expectations every day, moving me to tears,” said Iris. “With all the individual challenges and adversities, they are on the job ready to serve and help rebuild this beautiful Island. But we can’t do it alone. We’re in a natural position to help. As every day passes, and these plants are not able to produce, more families fall deeper into financial hardship, even beyond the hardships the hurricane may have already caused them individually.
