Please join the Boston Red Sox in providing support for those impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
Our own outfielder and Houston native, Chris Young, is leading the Red Sox fundraising initiatives as the entire team rallies around Harvey relief efforts. The players have already raised $100,000 and are looking to double that number to raise a total of $200,000 in support of those in need.
All funds raised will go to the Red Sox Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, which in turn will send all of the funds directly to the Houston Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity.
The Red Sox Foundation was founded and initially funded by Red Sox Principal Owner John Henry, Chairman Tom Werner, President/CEO Emeritus Larry Lucchino, and their partners. It is the largest team charity in Major League Baseball, and in professional sports.
