The Story

We very much need your help!
Currently, we have strong interest from our community to bring three Mental Health Recovery Workshops to Fairfield in September, October and November, 2017! All of our events are free to the attendees, but of course, we have expenses associated with the venue, A.V. equipment, advertising and course materials.

There has been more openness in the press to discuss mental health issues, but great stigma still exists, and much more knowledge and education is needed to address this very real healthcare crisis.

For instance, did you know? In a given year,

*One in four adults experiences mental illness,

*One in 17 adults lives with a serious mental illness,

*One in five teenagers experiences a severe mental disorder.

*And the suicide rate in the U.S. surged to a 30 year high this year.

These statistics apply just as much to Fairfield, as anywhere.  It is our mission at Hope for Life to offer mental health education that increases awareness and provides the necessary learning tools to help save lives.

Hope for Life Mission:

We provide events, education and resources on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. We accomplish our mission through our education partnerships with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) education courses, recovery and rebuilding workshops with Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Recovery Awareness Workshops (R.A.W) so we can provide tools, support and hope to individuals and families who live with mental health disorders.

Thank you for your kindness to help support our free mental health programs. Please visit us at: www.hopeforlifementalhealth.org
