The Story

Homeless Cat Helpers, Inc., has recently purchased a house in Laurel, DE, in order to establish their "Handicapped Cat House". This facility will serve as a permanent residence for special needs cats, such as permanently injured cats, Cerebellar Hypoplasia kitties, blind, and deaf cats.

There will be a live-in caretaker, making sure that the cats' every needs will be met on a daily basis.

However, in the special room currently being updated just for the cats, we removed the old carpet, and need to replace it with a high-quality, durable, cleanable, single sheet of vinyl.

The quote for the professional installation is $1,300.

(The rest of the room has already been finished & painted since the photos were taken)

If you can help us with even a small donation, we will list your name on a commemorative plaque to be featured in the house.

And, Homeless Cat Helpers is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit, so your donation may be tax-deductible!

Thank You.

Due to the cats coming in faster than the donations (duh!), and the miracle of an offer from an out-of-work handyman (Alleluia!), we have changed our plans from paying for a flooring professional to put down high-quality flooring, to using the Volunteer to do it for us in his spare time, with materials bought from Lowe's (with a 10% charity discount!).
This has reduced our goal from $1,300 for the first bedroom down to $623 for 2 bedrooms!  Our new Goal Date is Sept. 4, 2017, as we have 6 months with no interest from Lowe's.
So far, we have rescued a cat with Cancer, a kitty with Cerebellar Hyperplasia (something like Cerebral palsy in humans), 2 neglected/abandoned emaciated cats that are now going up for adoption, and as of this weekend (3/11), a pregnant cat, so that she wouldn't receive an Abortion-Spay.  In a couple of months, she and her future kittens will all be adopted out, thru our Petco program!
Please help us help them?

Thank you all for your support!

We are well along our way to making the new bedroom flooring a reality.

But, we haven't been just waiting for the donations to roll in - We've been busy in the room!

The room has been completely painted, and a new light fixture installed.
We've found some nice Kitty motif curtains to hang on the windows, and we got a small section of temporary vinyl to lay on the floor until the main flooring is installed.
