It was pouring down rain and they were trying to stay dry under an overhang. There was about 12 inches of dry pavement near the building. This is a pack of dogs that live on the street where one of our volunteers works. There used to be 5 of them. One dog was rescued. The other was purposely hit by a car. Yes the man swerved to hit the dog laying on the side of the road. There were witnesses and authorities were called. We are trying to get the last remaining 3 into rescue and safe. However, we have no foster room and no money for boarding. The senior female (orange and white) we named Polly. The senior husky we named Bubba and the brindle boy we named Hudson. Street dogs deserve a name too! The reason we are telling you this story is that with an RV, we can move 40-60 dogs at a time up to New York to approved rescues. This frees up space in our fosters to rescue Polly, Bubba and Hudson and so many other dogs that are homeless and need to be safe, fed and given medical attention.
We truly appreciate all those have already donated. You are incredible!
Please find it in your hearts to donate to this fundraiser. I can't begin to tell you how important this program will be to the many, many homeless dogs in Houston. We are estimating that we will be able to save at least an additional 300 dogs per year with the use of the RV.
All donations are tax deductible. Paypal donations should be made to [email protected]
(please note that it is an RV donation so it can be applied to the correct account)
Thank you all!
