This holiday season, help Hockey in New Jersey give the gift of hockey!
Hockey in New Jersey inspires youth to develop life skills, succeed academically and create positive relationships through the sport of hockey. HNJ provides the opportunity for those who would not be able to experience ice hockey due to costs. This season, over 1,000 boys and girls in urban areas will play ice hockey at NO COST, with programs in Newark, Jersey City, Englewood, and will launch a new program in Spring 2018.
In partnership with the New Jersey Devils and part of the National Hockey League’s Hockey is for Everyone initiative, Hockey in New Jersey provides equipment, ice time, coaching, life skills training, and academic assistance, all at no costs to city residents. In each respective location, city residents ages 6 – 18 are eligible to join, and take part in Learn to Play Clinics, House Leagues, Life Skills Training (Nutrition, Sport Injury Prevention, Off-Ice Conditioning, and Sport Psychology) and can enroll in HNJ’s week long Summer Camp. Semi-Travel teams travel to play teams in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. throughout the year as well.
HNJ is fundraising for equipment, travel, education programming, league fees, and to offset operating costs to ensure even more boys and girls in urban areas can experience ice hockey for free! Every donation helps us reach our goal this winter!
All donations are tax deductible.
Thanks for your donation and see you at the rinks!
