The evening of Nov. 7th, 2014, Cristin and Nick Potter welcomed their newest son into the world 3 months before he was due to arrive via emergency cesarean. His birth was also a saying good-bye as his twin sister had left this life some weeks prior and was born sleeping. Fortunately, Baby Cullen is doing well, and the Potter family (Cristin included) are able to be with him as he continues to gain strength in the NICU at UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Being born at 28 weeks is not easy and the Potter family are anticipating weeks of remaining in Lexington by the side of Baby Cullen. This will mean missed work for Nick, hotel stays, food out, travel costs, and ongoing childcare needs for their three other children. The hospital in Lexington is three hours away from their home in southeastern Kentucky.
Cristin has been an advocate for so many mothers here in the mountains. She is simply an amazing woman! She has loved on us as a friend, doula, childbirth educator, and postpartum doula for many years. Now, it is time for us to give some of this love back through supporting the Potters financially during this uncertain time. All money donated to this fundraiser will go directly to the Potter family through Paypal. Thank you and God bless.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
