The Story

Gastroparesis is a long-term (chronic) condition where the stomach can't empty itself in the normal way. Food passes through the stomach a lot slower than usual. It's thought to be the result of a problem with the nerves and muscles controlling the emptying of the stomach. If these nerves are damaged, the muscles of your stomach do not work properly and the movement of food can slow down. So… there's a brief description of what is actually wrong with Hannah.
The impact it has had on her life over the past 2 years is indescribable. Unable to work for the past two years has been hell. Hannah has seen her weight dramatically decrease, as not a single day passes where she can avoid holding her head above the toilet bowl.
She is solely relying on a feeding tube for nutrition, all her favourate foods are now, a no go, and she loves a steak!
We're all trying to not only raise awareness of her condition, but to also raise money to help cover hospital costs, medication costs and to help her and her family deal with this Life changing, rare condition.
She is currently awaiting a decision from the NHS regarding a gastric pacemaker, this will help her to be able to digest food and potentially live a normal life! She is not only having to beg the NHS for the funding, but struggling to stay at a healthy weight whilst in the process.

If we can Raise enough money, it could help fund, potentially life saving surgery, that the NHS may choose not fund themselves.
"I may have been struck with this awful illness, and I may never fully recover from it. But I will never stop fighting, I will never give up and I will never simply settle for ordinary. Oh not to mention the 8oz sirloin with my name written all over it!"
All she simply wants to do is just to get better.
"Every day is a constant fight against my own body that is trying to starve me to death, but I won't give up fighting & theres no point dwelling. The support I do have has kept me strong but now I have to admit I need help"
Hannah Has the support of her Mum, Sister and fiancé. Not to mention her many friends.
The biggest bill she is expecting is the Gastro Pacemaker surgery, and at the moment, with the NHS leaving her in limbo, she is in constant, unnecessary pain and discomfort.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay! So, Hannah has received some really big news today.... Sadly, its not good, the NHS have officially refused the Gastro Pacemaker to be done on their books. I cannot express how devastated Hannah and her family are.
There are going to be no more milestones, straight to the point.

We need to now raise the Full £20,000 for Hannah's procedure and aftercare. We still have a massive amount to raise. Even if everyone that reads the posts or watches the videos of Hannah on Facebook, were to donate £1, we would be so much closer to the £20k goal.

The news really has been devastating, even worse, the news was first broken by reporter that has covered Hannah's story rather than the NHS.

Skip your Costa coffee for the day and put it towards something that is going to change a life dramatically.!

A huge Thank you to all of you that have donated so far, that are following and sharing Hannah's story, it really is appreciated, we couldnt have done it without you.!

Remember, keep sharing and donating.!

Thank You Again.!

Yesterday, something amazing had happened, Hannah had received conformation from AXA that they will be conducting the pacemaker operation themselves, FREE OF CHARGE..!! This was something totally unexpected and she is completely over the moon, we all are.!
That being said, the total amount that now need to be raised has virtually been slashed in half, we need to raise just £10k now, they are paying for the operation but the aftercare, she must fund that herself, which also means, we don't have far at all to go.!
Keep sharing, keep the donations coming in, we can do this and smash the target.!
Thankyou all who have made this possible with the donations and the amount of awareness that has been raised.! Couldn't have done it without you.!
