The Story

*** CAMPAIGN EXTENDED TO COVER TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS! ***

Grady High School's robotics team, known as G3 Robotics - FIRST Team #1648, is a student-led, award-winning robotics team in Atlanta, GA. The team is gearing up for the 2018 season and needs your support. Would you give us a hand? Each $5 increment helps us get closer to our goal and sharing with friends and family helps grow the campaign exponentially!

Give $5. Share 5. High 5!

Give in $5 increments, share the fundraiser with five people, and get a HIGH 5 thank you from the team.***** Make sure to note which G3 Team Member you are honoring with your donation!****

We want to involve as many people as possible in G3's success -- family, friends, neighbors and anyone in the Grady Cluster who supports STEM programs for Atlanta youth.

Your donation will help the team promote STEM through outreach programs in the Atlanta community while at the same time building an awesome robot to compete in regionals and a world championship hosted by FIRST. More reasons to support Grady Robotics:

The team brings STEM experiences to hundreds of Atlanta area youth with our popular outreach programs. G3 hosts FIRST Lego League and Drones For Good events at our Grady High School campus. The students also participate in local STEM events and science nights at Grady's feeder schools.

Robotics offers hands-on learning. Team members learn soldering, fabricate parts, and work with motors and gears. Students also learn research, design, and operational processes, with a focus on mastering technical skills like machining, programming, and 3D modeling.

Your donation provides materials, teacher support, and travel scholarships for our growing team of 50+ students. It costs approximately $2500 per student each year to fully participate on the team. Unlike traditional sports and clubs, the team receives no funding from the school district.

Inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and leaders to learn to solve the problems of today and tomorrow. With a student-led team philosophy, students learn leadership, mentoring and business skills while operating all aspects of our program.

You made it happen!

Thank you for helping the Grady Robotics team raise more than $20,000 by 2/20/18 -- the deadline to "stop build" and "bag and tag" the robot for competition.

Your donation not only helps the team build robots but provides travel scholarships to send team members to multiple robotics competitions over the next 8 weeks. You can follow the team on Facebook at G3 Robotics, FIRST Team 1648 and on our website at www.g3robotics.com.

Your contribution makes a difference by inspiring STEM education through this powerful robotics program and we can't thank you enough!
