The days leading up to an otherwise promising New Year were among the darkest for our dear friend Gary Gelfand. It was during this time that he was informed leukemia had not only returned to his body, but that steps needed to be taken immediately to save his life. Within hours, on the dawn of New Years Day, aggressive chemotherapy began. As he fights the fight and transitions into bone marrow transplant therapy, even with the best insurance, there will exist a financial gap, sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Let's help Gary bridge that gap so that he can focus on the most important thing of all, survival.
Gary has accumulated over 15,000 hours of live local television in our area; much of it spent shining light on other peoples' desperate needs during trying times, so let's do what we can to return the favor.
Give what you can, everything counts in large amounts!
Thank you for being a true friend of Gary.
