Since the founding of the "U.S. Army W.T.F! Moments" page, roughly six years ago, we have had the privilege of handling countless of actions that helped or benefited our brothers and sisters in uniform past and present. We were able to do that with all of your help; people that gave their skills, their time, and at times their money to help. Every day, we receive dozens of requests for assistance; some of them need financial help, others need hands to help with a move, etc. Often enough we receive requests that require money to facilitate an action. So far, the page has funneled roughly $45,000 in financial assistance, and donations, to our community. Certainly not the biggest amount, but a large part of these requests have been financially filled by the administrative team alone. As the page becomes more popular, and more well-known, those requests have and will continue to increase. In the past month alone we have redirected thousands of dollars to requests like these. We do not give handouts, we do not respond to requests like, "hey I want to buy a new car, or buy a boob job for my gf", but there are, from time-to-time, requests that can be handled with a few hundred dollars, and really make an impact to an individual; impact equaling to someone having somewhere to live, or not. For example, a few days ago a Veteran with a job had to leave the place he was renting, because the owner allowed other people in his room who ended up stealing his money. He did file a police report, and he will get that amount back at some point probably, but between then, and receiving his paycheck, he had nowhere to live so one of our administrators put him up in a hotel room for four days, until he receives his next paycheck, and another follower of the page delivered him groceries. We always verify service and circumstances prior to allocating funds, and have both military and federal support in doing so. In the pastthousands of you have asked if you could donate $5 $10 $25 etc. for events such as these, so we decided to create a crowdfunding campaign where you can, if you are willing and able, to donate any amount towards actions like these. Every single dollar will be accounted for and used only for such actions. At the end of the month there will be a checks and balances statement on our website which will display exactly how much money is left, and for what purpose the money has been used. Regardless, of whether you are willing or able to donate or not, we will continue supporting these types of actions on our own, to the best of our ability to do so. You can find the link in the comments, and thank you for all the help you have given us all this time. Without you we would still be pretty awesome but together we are unstoppable.
