Fundacion Para La Tierra is a non-profit organisation based in Paraguay. Since 2010 we've been focused on the protection of Laguna Blanca, the most biodiverse site in Paraguay, set around a beautiful fresh water lake.
winning programs have educated hundreds of young scientists in conservation biology and fieldwork, while they've helped us to investigate and uncover Laguna Blanca's diverse wildlife, including capuchin monkeys, anacondas and ocelots. We've engaged thousands of Paraguayan children in environmental activities, giving them access to nature and a place to learn about their native flora and fauna.
Now Laguna Blanca is for sale. We'll never be able to raise the US$2.8 million to buy this priceless opportunity, but with your help we can make sure that all of Para La Tierra's work hasn't been for nothing.
Donate now and help us to keep our dream of conserving Paraguay's most important places alive by investing in the future generation of conservationists. Your donation will go towards developing interactive nature related activities for children, buying scientific equipment to facilitate country-wide biodiversity monitoring programs, and providing young people with the opportunity to learn in nature.
With your help we can:
- Develop Paraguay's first interactive biodiversity museum,
- Purchase camera traps, GPS units and other essential equipment to monitor species and ecosystems at protected areas across the country,
- Run weekly Eco-Leadership clubs to teach local children about problem solving, science and social development, giving them the power to drive change in Paraguay.
Your donations go a very long way in Paraguay!
