It is April 2017 and the Swainson's Hawks are back at New Mexico State University. Http://davidboje.com/hawk
My name is David M. Boje, Ph.D. and I am raising money to protect the pair of Swainson's Hawks and their two hatchlings who nest in a tree at New Mexico State University, each April and fly back to Argentina (7,000 miles) in August.
This year (2017) we need your help to purchase a $500 web camera
, signs, posters, t-shirts, and umbrellas that help people of all ages at NMSU walk safely about campus in vicinity of nest or hatchlings learning to fly. Getting too close results in Hawk parents swooping down, even dive bombing to chase humans away to safe distance. Our campaign also keeps the Swainson's Hawk pair and their hatchlings safe from people, who tend to get too close, walk around mindless to Nature, stare blindly at cell phones, cannot hear with earphones in ears, and are generally not paying attention to their Situation.
You can donate:
$500 at Hawk level
$300 at Fledgling level
$100 at Hatchling level
$20 at nest level
$10 at umbrella level
Each umbrella has picture of Swainson's hawk on it, and is given to people at the campus so they can protect the Hawk and protect themselves from possible injury. Umbrellas will be placed around campus for visitors, students, faculty, staff to use
Each sign posted or stenciled (on sidewalk) helps educate people of all ages walking about to keep Hawk and Human safe.CLICK HERE TO SEE MAP OF CAMPUS
where umbrellas and signs are located
Thank you for your donation
