The Story

We are saving more and more rabbits' lives... and that means more and more medical bills!  We are turning to you, our adopters, volunteers, fans and family, for support.  Bills for veterinary care are piling up and we need your help.

Over the course of this fundraising campaign, we will share stories of our foster and sanctuary rabbits, who will benefit from your donations.  100% of donations go directly to the rabbits in need.

We thank you so very much for your care and support!

Rudy had his neuter surgery this week! He is doing so very well and we are very proud of him.  He will require special needs care for the rest of his life.  We thank all of our supporters who help make his care possible!

Rudy is getting around a bit better but is still struggling with physical injuries and possible neurological impairments.  This special needs boy requires daily "butt baths" and an enclosure equipped for his different abilities.  Your donations are helping darling Rudy find comfort and regain his strength!

Your donations will help our newest rescue, Rudy.

Rudy was found this past Wednesday in Suffolk County.  The woman who found him noticed immediately that he was injured or impaired.  She took him home and contacted us.  Our team brought Rudy to Catnip and Carrots Veterinary Hospital.  Rudy has an injury to his face and has trouble hopping.  He was infested with maggots on his stomach and genital areas. The doctors and staff removed all maggots but Rudy is showing signs of other neurological and physical impairments, likely unrelated to the maggots.  He may have been hit by a car or attacked by a predator.  He is under observation for a few more days-- if he "makes it," it is likely he will be a special needs boy.  Rudy is a sweet and loving boy, despite his trauma.  Your generosity will help us make Rudy's life as comfortable and happy as it can be.
