This is what happened:
At some point late in 2014, Rob (having never seen a Marvel movie) made the promise to his boyfriend Eric to watch all TEN (10) movies in the Marvel Universe before the release of the eleventh installment. Eric (being a great citizen of the world) saw this as an opportunity to raise some funds for a good cause.
This is what we're doing:
We are going to watch the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies as a way to raise money for an organization called Capes4Heroes. Capes4Heroes makes superhero capes for children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
To explain: you know how people walk or even run for charity? This is exactly like that. But with sitting. And watching movies. A full 10 of them leading up to Age of Ultron. It's (really not) hard work, but somebody's gotta do it.
But but but......why capes?
Turns out treating kids like they're brave makes them *feel* brave. And for all of us to get in on that, it'll take a tremendous(ly minimal) effort.
Let's care for our miniature real-life Captain Americas, Thors, and Iron Men!
