The Story

For those who don't know, Eryn was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and multiple co-infections in September 2014.

In the spring of 2015 we were able to purchase Eryn their own wheelchair, thanks to the fundraising efforts of my sister & niece. It has enabled Eryn to be a much more independent teenager and we have been so grateful for it. Aside from being able to independently attend high school, Eryn has also able to take part in school and community theatre, which is their passion. It's been almost 2 years and that wheelchair has seen a lot of use!

This fall Eryn's health has taken a downward turn and Eryn is no longer able to move around in their wheelchair by themselves. This means they are no longer able to go to school and, right now, Eryn relies on others to get them absolutely everywhere they need to go. So, I have been looking at power chairs... Our wants, needs and requirements are very specific though and I have found the wheelchair I'd like to purchase for them. It folds, so we can get it into our little car, it has the option of a 16" seat size which is critical to the well being of the walls in our (rental) house and it will give us the best of both worlds: the freedom of a power chair and the flexibility of manual control when needed.

Eryn is an AMAZING kid. Beautiful, kind, thoughtful, intelligent & super talented... They deserve a lot more than life is giving them right now. Please help us give them some of their independence back!

Thank you so very, very much.
Dawn & George Goodman

The Foldawheel PW-800AX Duo Function Wheelchair gives you the best of both worlds: the freedom of a power chair, and the flexibility of manual control when needed. With its Magnesium Alloy large rear wheels, PW-800AX can operate as a power chair or as a manual wheelchair.

We make this model into different seat width 14″, 16″, 18″, 20″ and 22″ (22″ with additional charges).

  • Allows you to hand assist with manual power when confronted with more challenging terrain.

OK! That's it! We're done!

I'm closing the fundraiser for Eryn's power wheelchair.

The total coast of the chair was $3503.76 and, in all honesty, I didn't think we were going to reach the fundraising goal... But in the last few days 3 people stepped in and donated over $1000.

So incredible... I am, we are, so grateful to each and every one of you.

The extra money will go towards Eryn's weekly IV and other medical expenses. I have set the fundraiser close date to tomorrow, which is Eryn's 17th birthday. If anyone wants to make a last minute donate as a birthday gift to them... We are not opposed!

Shout outs, of course, are due!

First off... To my TOM, Joanne Aird Bush, who makes so many things possible, and just better, around here... I won't make a list... Thank you for everything you did to make Eryn getting this wheelchair happen. I love you

To my Betty, Theresa Piche Forbes, for helping her credit card less friend when she needed it. I love you

And to my sisters, April Pasley and Kathy Smythe... For your endless support, encouragement and link sharing... I love you both so much

To everyone who donated... Phyllis, Kathy H, Bridget, Lee, Janet, Dave G, Michele S, Tracy D, Lori M, Delilah, Alex, Kerry, Kari, Nicole, Roxanne M, Brie, Maeike, Janna, Christie, Sue A, Sue's friend whose name I don't know, Corinna, Yvonne, Jorden, Craig, Doug R, Mary, Raelene, Kristin, Angela, Sue H, Judy, Heather T, Christine, Diane M, Susie, Dad, Joanne, Doug C and Paul

Thank you to absolutely everyone who shared the fundraiser link and helped us make getting this wheelchair possible for Eryn

I would like to make an extra special shout out of thanks to Doug Campbell & Ballenas High School's Whalebone Theatre for their very generous donation. You guys made Eryn, who is missing you all SO MUCH, feel like they're still part of the company. The amount aside, the gesture was HUGE, Doug. Thank you so much.

And Miss Belle Warner... I know Doug saw the link on your wall so... Extra thanks to you too!

Hugs for everyone! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
