Ellie was shockingly diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor cancer, at just 10 months old and started aggressive treatment at the age of 4.
The Shoups transferred care from Minnesota, to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Ellie, now 6 years old, is thriving under the direction of her medical team in New York. Within the past year, the Shoup Family has traveled to New York more than 20 times. If you know the Shoup's, you know they are a very independent, hard-working family. While fortunate to have with great insurance, all travel costs are the responsibility of the Shoups.
Full of Gratitude
Each trip to New York costs roughly $2,000 for mom and Ellie. And that is JUST for travel costs (airfare, staying at the Ronald McDonald House, food, ride from the airport, activities. NOTHING is cheap in New York.)
We are extremely grateful for all the help we've received along the way. We plan to pay it forward whenever we have the opportunity to do so! Thank you for all the donations to date.
