To whom it may concern:
My name is Edmund L. Griffin. I go by Kito Cin'j. I am a Vietnam-era Veteran. I have PTSD, Anxiety and suffer from Clinical Diagnosed Bi-polar Manic Depression. I am disabled not only by these mental problems but from physical problems as well. I am on S.S.I. My last Service Dog passed this last May and it has been very hard for me to deal with my emotions on a daily basis. I need a Psychiatric Service Dog to help me feel safe to go out of my building. To help me keep control of my emotions. To alert me when I am about to reach High Anxiety levels.
On an average day I stay in my apartment 85% of the time, only going out for Doctor Appointments, groceries (sometimes) and also “Symptom Management Groups”, at the local VA Hospital. Every time I leave my home, I do not feel safe and tend to panic whenever someone gets too close to me.
It is essential that I get a Service Dog as Quickly as possible. Although I take over 14 different pills a day, some 4 times a day, I still suffer from the above conditions. I believe a Psychiatric Service Dog will help me gain the independence I can not find with medications alone.
I am also plagued with short time memory loss, causing me to constantly forget to take my medications on a regular basis. Despite having alarms, notes, daily reminders, I am still prone to forget appointments. I believe having a Psychiatric Service Dog will help me keep calm and resist depression, as well as being able to remind me to take my medications in a timely matter.
That is why I need to raise $10,000 for my Psychiatric Service Dog for PTSD.
Won’t you please help me raise the money. Thank you in advance. God Bless all of you!
