CA Wildfires Podiatry Relief Fund: Help Kickstart Relief & Support for Doctors of Podiatric Medicine and their Communities
The Northern and Southern California area wildfires have been epic and tragic in their scope and devastation. The loss of life and property is both overwhelming and heartbreaking. Tens of thousands have been affected as the fires rampaged through their lives – destroying cherished homes, businesses that took years to build, and entire communities. Already, we know of several doctors of podiatric medicine (DPMs) and their staff members who have lost their homes.
DPMs - the foot and ankle specialists who help to keep Americans on their feet - living and practicing in the wildfire ravaged areas are still trying to find ways to care for their patients (many of whom are diabetics, have compromised immune systems, and are seniors) in the face of their own losses.
The scale of this tragedy is unimaginable, and rebuilding after such a catastrophic event will require time and the support of many. The California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) and the Foundation for Foot and Ankle Education are committed to helping members, their families, staffs, and communities get back on their feet.
With horrific hurricanes, daunting floods and now fierce firestorms, 2017 seems a cataclysmic year for natural disasters. We realize that you have already been asked to give to many worthy causes this year. We hope that you will give to the worthy cause of helping healers continue to care for their patients, rebuild their lives and communities. All monies raised from this campaign will go to that goal.
Please donate to the CA Wildfires Podiatry Relief Fund and help doctors of podiatric medicine get back to doing what they do best - keeping Californians on their feet: healthy, active and productive.
The Foundation for Foot and Ankle Education is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
